Encouraging curious & CONFIDENT adventurers
At Walkington Pre-School we encourage each child to explore, discover & learn.
Situated on the Walkington Playing fields, adjacent to the village park and surrounded by woodlands, Walkington Pre-School offers a uniquely spacious outdoor environment. Children reap the benefits of abundant fresh air as outdoor activities are embraced in all weathers, allowing them to experience the changing of the seasons.
Having served the local community for over three decades, we pride ourselves on the warm homely environment we create. At Walkington Pre-School, each child’s character, needs and interests are carefully considered.
We aim to provide a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment in which staff build children’s confidence and promote a positive attitude.
Within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework activities are designed to enhance learning in line with individual needs and stages of development. This is achieved collaboratively with input from parents and carers.
Walkington Pre-School is a member of the Early Years Alliance. We are registered with Ofsted and have a Provider Agreement with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. We are a Registered Charity.
Our professional and friendly staff provide care and funded early education. All sessions welcome children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5 years.
Our Manager is a qualified teacher and holds Early Years Professional Status. All of our staff hold appropriate early years qualifications at level 3 so you can be assured that your child will receive the best start to their learning and development.
We are inclusive and aim to provide equality of opportunity for all members of our group, this includes children with special educational needs and disabilities. We are experienced in working in close liaison with professionals across the range of special needs and disabilities.
